West Cafe Jazz Calendar July 2009

Due to the national holiday, West Café will be closed from the evening of Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5, so no jazz is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2009.  However, we look forward to seeing you every other Saturday in July for the finest jazz, cocktails and cuisine Portland has to offer.

July 11 2009:  Carol Rossio
Celebrate Bastille Day with West Café, French/American jazz and a taste of French cuisine downtown on Saturday, July 11.

Let your Francophile flag fly on Saturday, July 11! West Café is proud to present Portland recording artist and performer Carol Rossio to help us celebrate Bastille Day.  Carol will be performing earlier in the day at the annual Bastille Festival in the Pearl District and she’ll be bringing the party directly west to us at 7PM. The café will be offering champagne cocktail specials, customized absinthe concoctions (including a delectable patisse version) and featuring a snack menu guaranteed to stimulate and satisfy your inner Parisian.

Carol Rossio is a shining light on the Pacific Northwest jazz scene, performing jazz and pop with French flair – ooh-la-la! July 18 2009: Carri Bella
Downtown Portland Jazz Bar and Restaurant features Carri Bella Saturday, July 18.

Join us Saturday, July 18, for live jazz with Carri Bella [www.myspace.com/carribellajazz] on vocals. Take advantage of our relaxing bar space and enjoy a little swing and bossa nova with a torch song or two. Carri Bella’s exquisite voice has been likened to “the whimsy of Annie Ross in one moment and the sultry stylings of Julie London in the next.”

July 25 2009: Mary Kadderly
Come spend  a warm summer evening with us at the West Café in downtown Portland with the distinctive jazz of Mary Kadderly on Saturday, July 25.
