Restaurant News: West Cafe’s Winter Sunday Brunch Menu Is Live

We’ve just posted new menus for your delight and enjoyment and to celebrate the Winter season.

West Cafe is the place to share a wonderful meal with family and friends, serving dinner seven days a week, lunch on weekdays and breakfast/brunch on weekends.  Sunday Brunch is available every Sunday from 10 am to 2pm, providing fresh healthy fare on a warm and comfortable corner of SW 12th and Jefferson.

Here are a few delightful Sunday Brunch offerings to wet your appetite- our full Sunday Brunch menu is available on our blog and website.  Come hungry!

  • Lemon Lavender Cheese Blintzes, 4 Flavored Cream Cheese stuffed crepes topped with powdered sugar and fresh berries

December 4, 2010: Mike Metzner with Steve Cleveland
West Café brings intimate Portland jazz standards downtown on Saturday, December 4.

West Café is always pleased to present Northwest jazz singer Mike Metzner and accompanist Steve Cleveland.  Mike “Scheckie” Metzner’s musical experiences cover miles of ground – with stints in bands such as The Crackpots, Mas Y Mas and the Latin band, Los Comatosos. Mike’s musical travels also extend to England, Ireland and Spain. He and acclaimed pianist Steve Cleveland will be performing standards from the 20s, 30s and 40s in our warm and intimate bar. Come enjoy the best songs of the 20th century while dining in our restaurant or simply relax at the bar with a perfect glass of wine and our always delicious appetizers. Our jazz performances are typically free.

Her vocal stylings conjure visions of a perfect Parisian café night – filled with the joys and sorrow of love discovered and lost. How would you describe West Cafe’s cuisine?

We are extending our Label Our Cuisine contest through this fall to give you more time to think up a creative description.

If you have never been to West Cafe, now is the time. Come in and try our delicious menu, then post your own description of our food.

In order to win, provide your own definition of our uniquely crafted fare and post on our Facebook Page or via Twitter. We’ll accept submissions through October with a winner to be selected after October 31st.
