Cherry Vanilla Cupcakes
Moist and luscious cherry cake with a touch of vanilla and finished with a buttercream frosting with a hint of cherry brandy!

Chocolate Almond Shortbread
Light buttery Valrhona shortbreads with sliced almonds give this cookie a sophisticated and stylish look.  Oh, did we mention they are delicious.

Dark Caramel Chocolate Cake
Rich dark Valrhona chocolate and a touch of Espresso creates the ultimate moist cake with a satiny caramel center, finished off with a creamy chocolate buttercream.

West Cafe Offers Portland’s Best Organic Pies: This Week’s Selection is Apple Pie.

West Cafe is proud to offer Homemade Organic pies delivered fresh each week from local chef, James Boyd. James is also the creator of Bee Cuisine, a catering company providing fresh creative fare for those of us too busy to do the cooking ourselves.

This week, James has been busy cooking up a delicious apple pie just like his mom used to make. This gourmet delight is filled with the freshest organic ingredients, hand mixed spices, and a touch of old fashioned bourbon.  The unique blend of the chef’s personal mix of Quatre Epices with white pepper and ground ginger gives each slice it’s unique bite.

The addition of Bulliet Bourbon adds sweetness to balance out the savory tones of the tart green apples.  The apples chosen for this week’s pies are a mix of both sweet and tart varieties including organic Granny Smith, Golden Delicious and Pink Lady. The crust is classically inspired, made from organic white flour and vegetable shortening kept chilled to create the kind of flaky crust we all remember and treasure.

Come by the West Cafe for dinner or lunch and enjoy this amazing pie with a scoop of premium vanilla ice cream!

Black and White Shortbread
Chunks of luscious Valrhona and Callebaut chocolate permeate our buttery shortbread and yes, we still offer our Spring Berry shortbread cookies too!

Cappuccino Cupcakes
Now who wouldn’t want to indulge in these little gems?!?  Moist, Espresso infused butter cake with Kahlua Buttercream topped with chocolate cacao nibs.

Pear Almond Cream Tart
Beautiful and delicious with a French-style almond cream filling and pears fanned tantalizingly across the top. Yum!

Instead of looking out the window at the rain…order our delightful Streusel chocked full of cherries and pecans complemented with a scoop of vanilla ice cream dusted with cinnamon…you can almost see the rainbow!

Apricot and White Chocolate Shortbread

Shortbread with chunks of Callebaut white chocolate tempering the tang of the apricots and balancing the flavors for a wonderfully tempting treat.

Chocolate Les Perles Cupcakes

Valrhona Les Perles lace a moist buttery cake, frosted with a fabulous Chocolate Swiss Meringue Buttercream. Yum!
